JACGAS Compressor

Sizing Charts: Interpretation

  1. To calculate the casing pressure (psia) which will be obtained after installation of the compressor: find the present strokes/minute of your pumpjack in the left-hand column, move across that line until you find your daily gas production figures (mcf/d); then move up to the top of that column to find the casing (suction) pressure.
  2. If a different casing pressure is desired; locate the required pressure from the top line of the chart; go down that column until the daily gas production figures are found; then follow that same line to the strokes/minute column to determine the number of strokes/minute the pumpjack must do in order to reach the desired pressure.
  3. These gas volumes are based on a 48" stroke length. A 36" stroke length will be 75% of these volumes, a 24" stroke length will be 50% of the volumes, etc.

NOTE: As casing pressure decreases the gas volume may or may not increase.
